Use this page to brief work around a need-by date.

How to brief for a need-by date

Say when you need the result, whether the samples are ready, whether the method is already established, and the quality level you need. Those four facts are what a provider uses to say if it can take the work.

Published lead times

A typical lead time is shown where the provider publishes it. The line on the company page names the provider and the date the source was checked.

What drives turnaround

Method transfer, quality review, contracting and shipping are the usual waits. A published lead time does not include a method that still has to be set up, or a contract that is not signed.

Rush options

Rush options are listed where providers publish them, with the source and the date.

Match labs to a need-by date

Describe the work and the date in the search box, or to your own assistant through the MCP server. It plans the steps, matches labs from published evidence and drafts enquiries. No lab is contacted until you send one.
