Draft experiment requests by API

Updated

Search contract research organizations and CDMOs, read a company, and get matched labs with enquiry drafts for the work you describe.

What you can do

You can search providers, read one company, and describe the work to get planned steps, matched labs and enquiry drafts. Nothing needs an API key. The public MCP server exposes the same tools.

Quickstart

Search from a shell with curl --fail-with-body 'https://physicalvalidation.com/api/v1/companies?q=protein&limit=5'. Add facets=true for the services, modalities, standards and countries in the results, with counts. The endpoints are the MCP tools over HTTP, described at https://physicalvalidation.com/api/openapi.json.

Connect an assistant at https://physicalvalidation.com/mcp. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Grok each take that URL as a custom MCP server. Nothing needs an account. search_companies takes what the lab must do in the person's own words.

What happens after a match

Each matched lab comes with the published evidence behind it. A request draft (POST /api/v1/request-drafts, or prepare_request over MCP) returns a link where the person reviews the request, adds contact details, consents and sends it. Nothing is stored before that and no lab is contacted automatically.

What is covered

Company pages list services, modalities, standards and equipment where a published source supports them, plus the countries of the sites on the page. Current counts are in a search with facets=true.

Lead times

A typical lead time is shown where the provider publishes it, with the source and the date it was checked. Rush options are listed where providers publish them. Service prices stay off this site.

Cloud labs and contract research

A cloud lab runs protocols on its own robots. This site does not run the experiment and does not quote a turnaround of its own. It lets you search contract research organizations and CDMOs and match labs to the work, with enquiries you send yourself.

Questions

Do reads need an account? No. Search, company pages and facets are public.

Are suppliers emailed? No. The reads contact no one; a request to the Physical Validation team is made by the person on the site.

Can an assistant do the matching? Yes. Connect it to the MCP server and it can search with search_companies and read each match with get_company.
